Hammerhorn Deck Removal Project

Reducing wildfire risk and improving forest health by facilitating the transport of previously felled, unmerchantable woody biomass to productive end-use facilities

The Hammerhorn Deck Removal Project is being implemented through GSNR’s Pilot Biomass Transport Program and will support the removal and transportation of approximately 6,352 tons of previously felled cull logs from designated landings within the Mendocino National Forest.

The successful bidder will be responsible for removing the designated material and transporting it to the end-use destination identified in its bid.

The project also includes applicable road maintenance, resource protection, load documentation, and other operational requirements identified in the Request for Bid (RFB) and associated appendices.
